Winona-Ryder
Winona Laura Horowitz, professionally referred to by the name Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. She was named by her parents for the town where she grew up. Michel Horowitz' father was editor and author along with Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder is a self-described Jewish and descends from Ryder's Jewish father. Ryder has two half-siblings younger than her, Jubal and Sunyata. When Ryder was just seven years old, her family moved from Mendocino County, California. Mendocino County California. Here, they did not have electricity. Ryder was a voracious bookworm and would spend her days reading books because there was no television. Ryder was enrolled in acting classes at the age of Ryder was twelve years old, at the American Conservatory Theatre.
