Jillian Noel Shennessy was born on November 25, 1968 in Canada is a Canadian actress and musician that was honored for her outstanding contributions in American television. She has become famous for her performances in the roles of Claire Kincaid in Law & Order as well as Crossing Jordan. Hennessy also showed off her talents in films like RoboCop 3 Most Wanted, Chutney Popcorn, and The Acting Class. She also wrote and directed these films. Hennessy began her acting career alongside her sister, playing twin call girls in Dead Ringers in 1988. The actress sat for a few minutes on Broadway performing Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story, before moving into science fiction when she appeared as the character Dr. Marie Lazarus. Her big break came later that year when she joined the ensemble of the acclaimed NBC crime drama Law & Order as assistant district attorney Claire Kincaid. Three seasons of her part was an instant hit with viewers. In 1996, she left the show.
